Hello everyone. This blog is going to be a site that allows Jackie & I to give anyone that is interested a journal of our retirement life. I am hoping to share pictures of our golf trips, Arizona living, motor home trips , friends & family and life’s adventures. We are excited about this new life and look forward to having some fun and rewarding times. Our hope is with the extra time we have we can take better care of ourselves, help others that need that extra hand , spend playtime with Jackson, spend time fishing, golfing and visiting friends. Jackie completed 35 1/2 years with the Bank Of Nova Scotia and held numerous positions within the company from a teller, personal banking officer, branch manager , Vice Presidents office in operations and finally in the Employee Relations department. I worked with the JELD-WEN company for 27 years starting with Henderson’s ( JW bought) in Edmonton in 1987 as a sales rep. In 1991 I was offered the managers position in the Calgary Branch and worked in Calgary ever since. I was fortunate enough to be a coordinating General Manager of Calgary, Lethbridge and Kelowna branches. My last position was Regional Sales Manager for Alberta responsible for all dealer and direct sales from JW’s numerous manufacturing plants .
Our wonderful daughters were able to join us Feb 13th for Jackie’s retirement party. Jessica is on left and Victoria is on the right.
The picture below is my group of guys. Just look at the age of these boys. Some of these guys I have worked with for over 27 years. Friends more than co-workers.We had our gathering at Bob’s place in Edmonton where we enjoyed great food, drinks, memories and fun. I was very fortunate to receive from JELD-WEN and my guys a wonderful power remote controlled bag cart, gag gifts and a helicopter. Very much appreciated. Jackie for her retirment gift received the identcial model so we can now have races on the course.

Practicing my new golf cart ( retirement gift) before heading to Arizona on Day 1. Gift is awesome and if anyone is looking for a great gift or wants to make their golf a little easier and fun try one of these. www.parcaddy.ca
Here is an ad in the local newspaper that basically states the reason we bought a new home in Viewpoint. It doesn’t even mention our electronic score board at the baseball diamond !

Why we choose Viewpoint to buy a new home. They didn’t even mention the electronic score board at the baseball diamond.
