I like the way your blog is now other than the scrolling to your latest post. I like the thought of the day and your rants as I find them very amusing. It amazes me how much fun you guys are having and all the things that you are doing. The blog is very interesting, amusing, and the people that aren”t following it must be more active than you two are. I also find it totally amazing how you can sometimes find so much to say about something I wouldn”t be able to… such as our fishing trip! If its Oiler fans you are losing, by now they certainly should be able to accept the fact that their team sucks. Reading your blog inspires me to stay active in my retirement and Anita really appreciates that. Anita says that she often reads it and enjoys it but just doesn”t comment. Probably for fear that she will correct spelling (because, as she admits, she is anal.) Keep up the creative writing as I enjoy reading it. Larry
Thanks Larry. Next week that will change.I was able to get newest comments to the top of the list just need to be able to use a day month system or newest date first. I am meeting with Romi next Wednesday to see about a fix. Watch for the big reveal it is going to be good. LOL Ps I do have a lot of fun poking at things and antagonizing people. It is my passive aggressive tendencies.
I love the picture of where you were camping by yourself hahahaah it really was creepy! You should get a .22! Lol glad you made it home safe and sound!!!!:)
NYC is amazing. But internet issues and I can’t compress the picture size on my Asus I will until we get home. Saint John’s is amazing it being our favorite stop so far.

HI
Was it Birch Groove Campground at Balfour you stayed at as that is where we always stay in site 10. The firewood was free when we were there last Sept but you need a big axe.
Yes it is Balfour. We have site 11 and 12 which have a great view of the river. Beautiful. Here as a stay spot while we drive around to each golf course. And of course using the kayaks.
Sounds like retirement is fun, only another 35 years for me!!! Needless to say I am jealous of all the fun you are having. I miss visiting with you and all the fun you used to make of me (LOL). You will have to come by for lunch one day!! Cheers
I miss you guys also as it was a fun office to be in. It was very easy to have fun with a country girl trying to be a city girl with tats and being a brunette going blonde. LOL Just text me a date for lunch I will see if I can fit it in.LOL We are gone for most of Aug/Sept though.
Ps I need to drop off a glass sample kit anyways
Hey there………haven’t logged in for a looooongg time. You are busy people. I got exhausted reading it all!!! OK I didn’t read it ALL. I see you have booked all your travels on your September cruise. We finally booked rooms in NYC at 208 bucks a night through Travel Pony at the place we like to stay. Have you ever tried it. You have to log on often, but it paid off as we were hitting 300 bucks a night until this hit, which included a 50 buck bonus credit. I’ll take it. We also found tickets to Book of Mormon by the South Park guys. Gets good reviews but a little raunchy. Other than trying for Letterman tickets again, we are likely winging it. Heading out to the boroughs to check out eats and sites. Will meet Dennis there for a few days as he is going to the Derek Jeter retirement last game.We were close to hooking up there, but not close enough. Enjoy the trip!! Perhaps we will see you in Edmonton some time when you are up to our beautiful city that actually has trees!!
I am extremely inspired along with your writing talents and also with the structure on your blog.
Is that this a paid subject or did you customize it yourself?
Anyway stay up the excellent quality writing, it’s uncommon to
peer a nice weblog like this one nowadays..
We enjoyed our weekend camping with you despite the cool weather. FYI Larry – you are only <2 months younger than me (although I'm sure you were talking about the others' cycling abilities). I wasn't looking for a bullet; just cutting off those unsightly bullet holes.

Do not worry Anita…I have the EXACT same flaw in personality that you do. I stopped picking on my Dad long ago for it though…I knew it was a battle I would always lose. 🙂 Now I just skip over the spelling/grammar and read between the lines. You do realize that my Dad’s writing is very cryptic and there is usually an ulterior motive behind each posting. 😉 Love the posts Dad, keep them coming!
Larry, I haven’t been on your site for awhile. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your May 21st post. As you know, I am a touch anal (and should get points for admitting it), so I have to ask you to go back and re-read the last paragraph of that post; specifically the second sentence. WTF happened? Did you get tired or have a stiff drink?
You are good ! I was not drinking or tired. I don’t have any reason to get up early which is awesome and I rarely drink enough to affect my work.( don’t hold one night in Arizona against me) You must have been an English teacher or something on that Hutterite colony. LOL I corrected it. Thank you for the critique.Keep me on my toes !! LOL
I think I’ve been the spelling & grammar police since I was a child. Its a flaw in my personality. Just know that I only pick on people that I like. We all enjoy reading what you write!

I LOVE Moms selfie gone wrong! Lol you guys are funny!!!! Excited we can make it for May Long!!!! We are looking forward to it very much!!! I think I will try to teach you the art of selfies that weekend so we you can post more awesome selfies lol Love you!!!!
Mom GASPED in disgust at how much I paid for the Flowers I bought you guys. haha But it seems your retirement is treating you guys well and you are more busy now then you were when you were working. 🙂 Love seeing you love life. It makes me happy.
Lol yes! I too was wondering if zoom was an option on your camera! Jk what a neat experience!!!!! Sounded like your visit with Cor, Tor & Jack, was a blast! Was nice to Skype with you too!!!! And glad we know now that our lap top has a camera to actually skype!!!!:)
Safe trip Mom and Dad and can’t wait to see you for Easter!!!
Re: Murray’s Comment…hahaha Scaredy Cat! I am trying to live through your blog and pretend I am still there, but with this -5 weather it is tough to do. Thanks for such a great trip and I hope you golf your best game today to make leaving PHX to come back to this, as happy and positive as possible. Leaving the Arizona sun on a high note. Safe travels!! xoxox
Your gonna need a better camera with a large telephoto lens for taking pictures of snakes from that distance all right. Hopefully meeting one on the golf course is far and few in between.
That’s funny. Still trying to figure out the zoom on the new phone. And yes i did stay a way back. LOL Pretty neat seeing him work his way down though.
Everyone has a bad day at golf. Look at Bubba Watsons round on Staurday @ the Masters.
Ugly weekend so spent it watching the Masters and Barret Jackson from Florida
Larry, on Global tonight they said spending time with your grandchildren can be good for your brain…within limits. Phew was worried yours was going to turn to mush
Just keeping the score on golf alone keeps the mind active. The grandkid is good for the heart though with all of the activity. You forget I can play bingo now ( numbers) and I count the number of laps in the pool I do. We are now up to 3 digit temperatures now so that keeps me thinking in the conversion. LOL
Hello Larry, Am at the library and have just read all of your blogs and I feel exhausted for you ! Take care and say hello to your family for me love Audrey
I love how you had to post that the beer was warmer than Calgary at its coldest. 😉 rub it in! Lol looks like a blast and now I’m craving a fat willy burger and beer! Hahah love you xo
Yes, it just seemed odd my cold beer was warmer than the air temp of Calgary. When you are here we will be on the patio. Beer in a bucket is great remember.
The to do list is getting shorter. The back deck is awesome for the full sun in the mornings. Only a few more things to complete and then we are done. LOL
It sounds like you 2 are enjoying you retirement and you will be kicking our butts on the golf course. Looking forward to golfing with you when you get back.
I will be warmed up for sure but remember raw talent is needed to be real good. I will be happy to be a 10 handicapper by the end of this year.
Good luck with everything and we will see you in the spring.
We enjoyed reading about your adventures. Sounds like a wonderful place to be! I must note, however, that it appears you have really gotten into the wine as your grammar and spelling went to hell on day 10. Jackie, sorry to hear about your apples. My apples are in the same garbage bin as yours. (Actually, I think they take them home to cut back on their grocery shopping.) I am now very carefully checking my spelling and grammar LOL! Larry, did you buy shares in Lowes?
One long drive with all of delays. Drive 14 hours straight on the 3rd to make it Mesa. Jackie says why are we trying to get there in a hurry! I say because it costs me $150 a night for a hotel and food. LOL
Larry, thank you for including me in your retirement e-mail, “My Back Nine”. It has been an honor and a privilege knowing you and working with you over the last 30 years. I wish you and Jackie the best in your Back Nine. Congratulations on your retirement and good for you for recognizing what is really important in life!

Loving your “rants” Larry. I am in full agreement with your driving one, of course.
One of these days we should grab some lunch. I see Melissa has the same idea, so lets maybe do a group thing!
